Our goal is to provide optimum dental care for infants, children, adolescents, and persons with special health care needs. As such, we accept the responsibility of being primary oral health care providers as well as a resource for specialty referrals. We have the ability to treat our patients using traditional behavior management techniques, nitrous oxide, oral conscious sedation, or general anesthesia.
Working with kids
Our environment was designed specifically for kids, with open bays as well as private treatment areas. There are accessible games, toys, and family movies. We also have kid-sized equipment and chairs designed for them.
In addition, we treat kids with respect and explain every step of their dental care in age-appropriate, child-friendly terms. It is our goal for kids to develop and maintain a positive association with dental care, and we do everything we can to create a pleasant, supportive, and fun environment for each child.
Working with parents
We help parents understand and address their family’s dental health care needs. We encourage the parent’s presence and active involvement during appointments. Ultimately, we want both patients and parents to be comfortable and satisfied with all proposed treatment and the manner in which that treatment is given.
Working with health care providers
In support of guidelines by the American Association of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Association of Pediatrics (AAP), we recommend that all children have a dental home by the age of one year. We encourage parents and health care providers, both medical and dental, to support these guidelines to help prevent early childhood caries.
