As a dentist, I am a healthcare provider first and foremost. My concern is not only with the mouth, but also with the person as a whole. I feel it is my responsibility to not only treat disease, but also prevent it. Preventive dental care is the ultimate way of demonstrating to the patient that you really do care for them. Taking the time to have a conversation with the patient and parent is vital in making a difference.
My goal day in and day out is to educate those I encounter (parent and child) about the importance of dental hygiene. There is nothing better than the patient that is resolved to improve their oral health!
Education and Continuing Education
I was in college preparing for medical school and to be a pediatrician when, at my own dental appointment, my dentist convinced me to observe dentistry and then decide from there if I really wanted to go to medical school. The rest is history! I loved the technical skill, patient interactions, and the science behind dentistry. It was the best of both worlds! I completed my Doctorate of Dental Surgery at the University of Michigan and my advanced education in general dentistry during my Northwest Dental residency.
Simply put, I love learning! I’m very passionate about dentistry and staying abreast of current trends or ways of providing quality healthcare. I have attended numerous seminars and courses to provide updated care for my pediatric patients.

Outside the Office
My wife and I have three wonderful children. They each bring so much joy and happiness into our lives. In my time outside of the office, I enjoy exercising, fishing, and sports. I love catching all types of fish and all the techniques one can use to catch them. It’s a “cat and mouse” game to figure out what they want! It involves planning, skill, and for me probably a lot of luck! Most of all, I love spending time with my family, no matter what we are doing!
